Comparison between SC like small V & SC like small X

I never know there are 2 types of SC (Single Crochet) before until someone mentioned in a crochet group; one is look like small V and the other one is look like small X.

I searched some sources and tried how to do it.

The different occur because use different technique.

First we need to know the different between YU and YO;
YU = yarn under - yarn is under the hook
YO = yarn over - yarn is over the hook

Below are step by step pictures how to make the SC look like small V and SC look like small X:

Step 1: is the same for both (SC (v) & SC (x) - insert hook into st

Step 2: The left image showing how to make SC (v) and the right image showing how to make SC (x)

Step 3: is the same for both (SC (v) & SC (x)

Step 4: is the same for both (SC (v) & SC (x)

Step 5: is the same for both (SC (v) & SC (x) - both using YO at this step

Step 6: is the same for both (SC (v) & SC (x)

Here is the result:

Note:
The result is only obviously occur when you work in round (not in back and forth)
