Kembang Sepatu in English is Hibiscus.
I had designed and made pattern of Kembang Sepatu in Tunisian crochet few years ago.
Today I challenged myself to make the Kembang Sepatu in Tunisian crochet using the very thin thread so it become very tiny. This is the smallest flower I had ever crochet.
The difficulties in making this tiny Hibiscus in Tunisian crochet were because; the thread was very thin, use 2 layers at the same time, so difficult to see each stitches. It took me about 4 hours to complete all.
Although it was kind of difficult to make but I am so happy with the result. I couldn't believe myself I could be that patient to make each part of the flower.
I use 2 thread at the same time for the flower and leaf.
For the flower - the colors are fuchsia and baby pink
For the leaf - the colors are green and gold
The thread is the one for machine embroidery
Hook size - 0.50 mm
Final size of the flower - estimate diameter - 3 cm
